Friday Five Blog: Top Five Loot Crate Designs

We’re rolling up our sleeves and getting hands on with this month’s Loot Crate theme: BUILD! To prepare you for some hands-on fun, we took to our social channels to review the Top Five Loot Crate Designs! That’s right, our little crates of geeky happiness often transform into something that’s more than meets the eye.

SEPTEMBER 2016: SPEED
September was all about the need. The need for SPEED. Looters tied up their laces, gassed up their tanks and took off full force into a crate of furiously fast exclusives. Along with their loot, their crate transformed into one of three colored cars. We sped down the fast lane and asked Looters to take pictures with their “Car Crates” using  #SpeedRed, #SpeedBlue, and #SpeedGreen. #SpeedRed took the first place trophy for September’s “Speed Wars” competition with flying colors.  

DECEMBER 2016: REVOLUTION

We stood strong in December with our REVOLUTION crate. Our loot packed a powerful punch while sticking it to “the man.” Demanding freedom and paving the way for a future worth fighting for, we helped Looters celebrate the rebels of the pop culture world. Our Loot Crate design for December took to new heights, folding into a building to help our exclusive Assassin’s Creed Aguilar Funko Pop! take his daring leap of faith.

AUGUST 2016: ANTI-HERO 

Are you a fan of doing the right thing for the wrong reason? You might just be an ANTI-HERO. Also known as, the theme of our August 2016 crate. We tipped our hats to some of our favorite unconventional protagonists with exclusive loot featuring characters such as Archer, Hellboy, Kill Bill and the Maid of Mischief, Harley Quinn. Our Loot Crate design had “Puddin’s” everywhere embracing their inner Harley with their very own mallet!

JANUARY 2017: ORIGINS
To get to where you’re going, you have to know where you’ve been. As a way to kick off 2017, we took to our roots and dug deep into some of the most iconic ORIGINS. We saluted heroes of all shapes and sizes with our exclusive loot featuring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nintendo, Captain America and Superman! Included in the spread, was our exclusive Action Comics #1 reprint. We challenged Looters to a #cratecraft by transforming their Loot Crate into a nifty comic book holder! Where else would you store your favorite comics?

OCTOBER 2016: HORROR

We cooked up some SCARY awesome loot with our October theme: HORROR! Looters screamed with delight at our exclusive items paying homage to some classic horror films such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and more! With the return of The Walking Dead, we equipped Looters with a crate that doubled as a pop-out Walker mask, perfect for any premiere party. BOO!
