We’re ready to celebrate Deadpool 2 and nothing shows that love and hype quite like filling your house and covering yourself in rad DIY gear! Check out these five make-it-yourself projects we’ve curated, ranging from super easy to moderately challenging and see what you can get up to! Even sarcastic ol’ Wade would be impressed!
Now, make sure you have the tools provided and if you’re younger, make sure you have help and/or permission to use them by your guardians. We’re not trying to see any of our younger Looters end up with scars you’d have to cover up with masks, after all. If you come up with easier ways of doing these projects, make sure to tag us with your creations and let us know your methods! We’re excited to see what you come up with!
1. DIY Deadpool Phone Case (and other Marvel heroes) by Made by Shae!
Change up materials, faces and colorings to really put some pizzaz on your Deadpool phone case. Heck, with how cheap clear phone cases are — the possibilities are absolutely endless! If you want the same effect but don’t want to deal with the glue, try double-sided tape for a twenty minute project that you and your friends, family and fellow superheroes can do together!
2. Household Item How-To Deadpool Costume by CineFix!
3. Deadpool Paper Lantern by Geeky McFanGirl!
If you’re concerned about acrylic paints showing through too much, use a faint amount of thinner and/or water to loosen up the paint. If you’re concerned about brush strokes, try a watercolor blend that will stain the lantern but not leave a single stroke behind while also being easy to dry!
4. Deadpool x Friday the 13th Jason Mask by Big Hush!
I don’t even have a dang thing I could add to this one because it’s just so rad that I must’ve watched this a dozen times over before pricing hockey masks. Seriously shook over here.
5. Deadpool Styrofoam Head Tool Caddy by Dan the Maker Man!
What do you get the tool-happy person you love that also digs on some Deadpool? Well, I think you have the answer here. Keep an extra styrofoam head on hand, maybe even change up the expressions for that hardware handy person to be able to switch it out once the foam starts to wear down from heavy use!
