There’s only a couple of weeks left in the summer season before school is back in session, so the time is right to catch up on the most popular streaming services – sometimes, they even intersect with the franchises we feature!
We want to give you a round-up regularly of some of the best you can stream to compliment your loot before it arrives, and these titles, featured across Loot Crate, Loot Crate DX and Loot Wear for August’s MAYHEM theme should get you in the mood!:
Rick & Morty
Look no further than Hulu to handle your schwifty streaming needs; the platform is extremely well stocked with all of your Adult Swim and Cartoon Network faves, and Rick & Morty is no exception. While the massive 70-episode order that the network recently green-lighted won’t kick off on our screens until eat least next year, the first three seasons of the show are here for your binging pleasure. Get in all the Pickle Rick you can handle…
Office Space
First the bad news: None of the major streaming platforms have much of a Mike Judge filmography to enjoy at the moment. Which is a shame, as Office Space is one of the great – and most endlessly quotable – comedies of the century so far. (Not to mention Idiocracy, which is as prescient as it is underrated.) If you’re jonesing for some Initech hijinks, you can stream Office Space for free with a STARZ app subscription, or it’s a mere $3.99 rental on Amazon.
Harley Quinn
Harley’s a favorite of ours, so we know we’ve given streaming advice on where to catch the clown princess of Gotham before… but you know how these things are! The landscape of streaming choices changes so quickly. The last time we featured HQ, Netflix did not have DC Superhero Girls in which she features, nor did Hulu have Justice League Action. There ya go, two new choices! Though we have to say, your best bet is still Batman the Animated Series, Seasons 1-4 on Amazon, in which she made her debut. (See the very clip, above.)
The Walking Dead
The end of an era is nigh, ladies and gents: The Rick Grimes Era approaches its conclusion in The Walking Dead‘s upcoming ninth season. But before we bid farewell to Andrew Lincoln and his dreamy blue eyes (What? THEY ARE.), you might want to have a little binge marathon or two. Sure, AMC schedules this kind of thing all the time, but it’s way better without commercials. Netflix has you covered for Seasons 1 through 7 at the current time, which is more than enough to fill your weekends with undead mayhem. (P.S. This first trailer is still one of the best things the show ever produced.)
Fight Club
If there’s one thing Tyler Durden would be really ticked off about… well, we wouldn’t presume, there are likely SO MANY, oh man so many. But we feel confident to assume that he wouldn’t be happy about the fact that no where can you currently stream Fight Club without an additional charge. So let Tyler rant and rave about corporate greed a little more, but if you’re a big enough fan of this flick, $3.99 will set you back a teeny bit for Amazon-streamin’ movie fun. (TBH, they also have the 10th Anniversary Blu-Ray for a mere $6.33 right now, soooo if you have a few more bucks to spare…)
Aggretsuko
Here’s the amazing thing about the oh-so-amazing in so many ways Aggretsuko: This delightfully bonkers animated comedy about a red panda just trying to maintain her dignity and individuality in a corporate hellscape is 15 minutes long. Not the entire season, mind you, that’s per episode – but still, dive into Netflix and you can finish this entire joyful, rage-infused saga in one evening! Only drawback is that because the episodes are so short, you get that “Are you still watching?…” notice a lot more often. YES, Netflix, it’s only been an hour, jeeeeeez…

Deadpool
You’re kind of in the same boat with Wade as you are with the Fight Club crew on this one: None of the major streaming services feature Deadpool at the moment, nor do any of the premium channels if you subscribe to them, either. Hulu Live TV would probably turn up some eps of Ultimate Spider-Man in which he features, which you can watch on demand… but go on, just rent Deadpool for the ubiquitous $3.99 on Amazon. (And probably other VOD services.) Or, you know, you could just watch this teaser trailer another 20 times because it’s that good.)
