Did you enjoy the start of the holiday season?! Well, if you’ve already spent plenty of time eating tasty leftovers and binging TV, we’ve got more recs for you that are available from the most popular streaming services – sometimes, they even intersect with the franchises we feature!
We want to give you a round-up regularly of some of the best you can stream to compliment your loot when it arrives, so this month, get ready to experiment in the LABORATORY with these titles, featured across Loot Crate, Loot Crate DX and Loot Wear this month!:
Westworld
As is the case with pretty much every series brought to you by the fine folks at Home Box Office, your streaming options are limited HBO Go or HBO Now while the series is still fairly new… and since the labyrinthine mysteries of Westworld are still only two seasons in, that’s your option for now. Some HBO shows do eventually turn up for free if you’ve got an Amazon Prime membership, but it’s been hit or miss – Game of Thrones is still nowhere to be found on Prime – so if you want to catch up with the Delos Corporation’s android creations’ revolution against their creators, get you that HBO Now membership soon!
Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad
Though while they’re currently airing the only way to stream FX shows has traditionally been to purchase a season pass through Amazon or Apple, some have eventually made their way to Netflix – and if you’re in the mood to binge the crime epic(s) of Albequerque, New Mexico, you’re in luck. The entirety of Breaking Bad is here, so you can relive Walter White’s Shakespearean fall from grace from the beginning; and if you’re curious where the timeline matches up with super spinoff Better Call Saul, you can get at least through Season 3 of the latter; the current fourth season will require that purchase. (Or if you want a primer before you watch, check out the timeline summary above!)
Jurassic Park
Welp, as is the case the last time we had the dinos of Jurassic Park in our theme, not much has changed in terms of the films being available as part of any of the standard streaming services. If you don’t own any of the films, you can still rent them on Amazon Prime for a small rental fee. There is one difference this time out that might come in handy, though, if you happen to be a subscriber to the Hulu Live TV option: Turns out, at least the first three Jurassic flicks are available On Demand there! If so, you can binge up on all the T-Rex action you can stand. (Here’s a taste, above.)
Adventure Time and Dexter’s Laboratory
This month in Loot Wear, we featured two of Cartoon Network’s most beloved series – one a recent classic, the other a retro fave going back to the 90’s. Now when it comes to Adventure Time, Hulu‘s got you covered with nearly the entire run of the series, at least through Season 9. And that’s a whole lot of Finn, Jake, and all the denizens of the Land of Ooo to keep you busy for a while… hopefully, until the epic final Season 10 finally arrives and you can finish the saga! (Trust us, you’re not going to hear the sweetly unforgettable “Come Along With Me” the same way again. *sob*) Now, with Dexter’s Laboratory, unfortunately Hulu doesn’t offer the show as part of its standard subscription anymore; if you do have the aforementioned Live TV option, you can stream eps On Demand. Amazon Prime will also let you rent them by the episode or by the season!
Marvel and X-Men
So, we know that sometime next year, Disney+ will debut and the new streaming service will be the home of most Marvel streaming content moving forward. Still not sure what that will mean for the currently existing TV shows, but the MCU movies are definitely making the shift… so while you still can, celebrate the Marvel stuff in this month’s crate with Netflix‘s offerings including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Not to mention all of the Netflix Marvel shows (did we mention Daredevil Season 3 is awesome?), as well as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the animated series Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. If you’ve got Hulu, recent eps of AoS are there too as well as the excellent Cloak & Dagger and Runaways, plus if you never watched Hayley Atwell kick ass as Agent Carter when it was on ABC, now is a great time to discover it. If you’ve got Live TV on Hulu, you can also watch some excellent Marvel animated offerings like Secret Warriors and Ultimate Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six…. and since X-Men features in Loot Wear too, most of the X-Men feature films are there as well. (Plus, a few are on STARZ this month.)
