Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just released Patch 3.0.0 recently, which included Joker as the first character from the Fighter Pass, as well as the grand return of Stage Builder!
Stage Builder has been a staple in the series since Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, but this iteration lets creators share their masterpieces with the world! Thanks to social media, here are some of the best stages I’ve seen in the game. Some are recreations of old past stages, some are works of art, some are memes… and some are more than one of these. Take a look:
DVD Screensaver

The best part about watching the DVD screensaver is waiting for that miraculous moment where the logo hits the direct corner of the screen and bounces back in the opposite direction. So satisfying. Now you can take that pleasure to the next level and, uh, fight on it.
Super Smash Bros. 64 Desk
I made the desk from the smash 64 intro in the stage builder, came out pretty ? I think pic.twitter.com/EDe4iYLAC2

I actually thought about making this myself. Many fans have been wanting to recreate the desk from the opening of Super Smash Bros. and this one is the best one in my opinion. Now, if only this were an actual stage!
Clock Town from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
My first custom stage: Clock Town from Majora's Mask!

Majora’s Mask fans oughta love this one. Based on the hub world, Clock Town has some nice foreground and background depth, giving it some bonus points in my book. Great Bay is… great, but Clock Town feels more iconic to me!
Tetris
This one took me hours, because of its extreme gimmick, I think it is unique. #StageSmashBros #SmashBros #SmashBrosUltimate #NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/W1Y7IEEAc5

There are actually a TON of Tetris stages shared out if you scroll through the menu, but I think this one did a great job of turning it into a playable stage.
Bob-omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64
GameXplain did a great video showing this stage off. Inspired by the first level of Super Mario 64, Bob-omb Battlefield is true to the nature of the world, complete with cannons, the floating island, and of course that pesky Chain Chomp.
Video Game Title Screens
People REALLY took their time on these. Another video from GameXplain highlights a few super intricate title screen stages. My personal favorite is the Sonic the Hedgehog title screen, complete with the waging finger!
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
I am breaking limits with this mode and it's making me insane pic.twitter.com/0Llc6at0KH

You gotta love awkward Miles Morales. Just watch the video a couple of times. It’s worth it.
Finally, an appropriate Meme!
