Listen, this is the year that we get to dive into even more Wolfenstein with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. We’ve had quite a bit of Wolfenstein love in the past few years, but before that? It was a pretty spotted history. Want to know more? Justin McElroy did a video at Polygon giving the FULL run-down. Let’s dive in!
Now, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is finally released and for those that wondered how it would go with good ol’ BJ Blazkowicz after The New Order, let’s take a glance at the incredibly quirky reveal trailer. This isn’t even just about the gameplay but, I mean, everyone needs a Liesel. Heck, the world would’ve been a very different place if not for Blazkowicz. While the game has a very storied past that started as quirky and simplistic stealth-footed gameplay with bright pixels, a lot has changed. In The New Colossus, peace is completely restored but only through some terrifying changes to the world around us. BJ’s not really about that though and, well, check out the trailer and you’ll see why.
Bethesda and id Software have absolutely made sure to retain the core of Wolfenstein but brought it into an all-out Hollywood style action flick with some comedy sprinkled in that would make Salt Bae jealous. If you want a hint of the gameplay without spoiling pretty much.. anything, Polygon was cool enough to put together just a taste of what you’re in for with The New Colossus. Take a look!
