Finally getting Justice League in theaters is a moment that many superhero fans have been waiting for a very long time. Some of us, longer than others…
Comics fans who came to love DC’s lineup of heroes through the pages they read as kids have many jumping-off points to reference; as the television age progressed, many small children first dreamed of joining Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and the rest via our first exposure to animated Justice League shows. Of which there have been many quality installments and solo shows over the past 25 or so years… but let’s reach back even further…
For my generation, it was Superfriends, the Justice League iteration that ran on and off on Saturday mornings for over a decade, from 1973 to 1985. To flash you back to your jammies and a bowl of Lucky Charms something fierce, watch today’s Video Vault share: A compilation of the various opening themes of the show during that era. So many memories. That Legion of Doom opener though! (Also: Hmm, Wonder Dog or the Wonder Twins? It’s a serious question)
