With fun conventions every few weeks in cities all around the country (and the world) cosplay is a popular pastime now. Folks even cosplay to go see their favorite films (Did you catch some of the Beauty and the Beast cosplays this past weekend?)
But one type of cosplay sometimes gets overlooked, and really shouldn’t because it is often just as if not more delightful and entertaining than humans cosplaying. And that’s animal cosplay – be it dog, cat, or rodents, animal cosplay is a thing and we can only hope it is here to stay. So without further ado, here are some of our favorite animal cosplays by some of our favorite pets.
Banner the Super Dog
Banner is the ORIGINAL Dogpool cosplay (top) and Zombie dog cosplay (bottom). She is very versatile in her cosplay; plus, in addition to cosplaying, she is a service dog and does very well at both.

Cat Cosplay
The cats over at Cat Cosplay cover a wide range of characters from franchises including Firefly (Kaylee and Wash, above left), Ash vs Evil Dead (above right, Marvel, Star Wars, TMNT, Overwatch, DC, BBC…in fact it wold be difficult to find franchises these felines haven’t covered!
