Clocking in at over ten solo films, Spider-Man has had some “amazing” appearances. With the rumor that all our favorite Spider-Men and friends may be appearing in one film, it feels fitting to reflect upon some the character’s greatest moments on the big screen. We asked the Looter community for your favorite movie moments and here are your top 5:
1. Spider-Man 2 – Doc Ock Train Fight
Not only is the choreography of this fight phenomenal, the backstory and emotion behind it make it all the better. Peter had to let go of having a normal life and finally accept the responsibility of being Spider-Man. Another interesting aspect is that Peter has his mask off for the majority of the scene, as if he and Spider-Man’s future are synced.
2. Into the Spider-Verse – Leap of Faith
How can you not get goosebumps with this one? Spider-Man wouldn’t work as a character if he didn’t question his ability to be a hero. And when Miles finally discovers he can take the mantle of Spider-Man? He doesn’t fall– he ascends.
3. Spider-Man: Far From Home – Mysterio’s Illusion
The visuals of this scene are so freakin’ cool! It feels straight out of a comic book. It does a really great job of visualizing Peter’s inner demons, like his love for MJ and his guilt for Tony’s death.
4. Spider-Man 2 – Pizza Time
What a great opening to the film! Taking off exactly from where the first one left off, we see Peter majorly struggling to balance his personal and superhero life. I guess even Spider-Man can’t deliver pizzas on time. Oh, and it also has one of the greatest movie lines of all time, “Pizza Time!”
5. Amazing Spider-Man 2 – Death of Gwen Stacy
This moment really captured Peter’s resilience to do it all: save the day and rescue the girl of his dreams. Even though he’s able to fight super villains, he fails in saving the one thing he truly loves.
