Sea of Thieves, from longtime fan favorite developer Rare, set sail on some rough seas when it first launched. But since its maiden voyage, the game has seen some incredible support, cementing it as the pirate fantasy game many have always wanted!

Today’s video vault showcases the updates featured in the recent Sea of Thieves Anniversary Edition, which include some long-awaited and asked for features like a “consequence-free” PvP experience in the Arena, where pirates can jump in and wage battle on the high seas without fear of in-game retribution for being their dastardly deeds.

On top of some epic new player versus player experiences in the Arena, players can also jump into an entirely new series of quests on an adventure called “Tall Tales – Shores of Gold”. This brand new and expansive narrative will take fans of the game through a more immersive storytelling experience than ever before, while also introducing you to brand new and mysterious locations and gameplay mechanics – and. The new storytelling and immersive focus of Tall Tales – Shores of Gold addresses one of my biggest issues: I just wanted more cool pirate adventures to take part in!
There’s so much more to this Anniversary update, and I for one have never been more stoked to be a gosh darn pirate! This makes me think that there’s so much more in store for us and our pirate shenanigans – and I absolutely can’t wait to see what Rare has in store for us!
