The apex primate isn’t the only creature here. Skull Island is a completely isolated biome—an ecosystem containing forces of nature unlike anything else found on earth.

Airborne predators, dive-bombing their prey with unbridled ferocity. For all the terror they inspire, I am still fascinated! Their wings spanned at least 6 feet, maybe 8, and their skin was dark and iridescent. Their wing to torso ratio is reminiscent of vultures though I know this is far too simplistic a comparison.
More frightening still is that they do not seem to be hunting for food—they discard their victims without devouring them. Could it be that these beasts kill for sport?
